Welcome
We are delighted you are considering our sixth form as the place to spend the next two years studying your A-levels.
Our Sixth Form is a vibrant and exciting community and as you enter our Sixth Form, we will look to you to take the lead, both in your studies and outside the classroom. Alongside all things academic, you will have the chance to be involved in all aspects of school life, setting up new clubs and undertaking leadership roles should you choose.
Our job in the Sixth Form is to develop and support the whole you. Support is a key word: our Sixth Formers tell us again and again that they regard the Sixth Form as a place they feel nurtured and cared for. You will receive advice about university choices and the professions you might enter, as well as gain practical experience in preparing for the world after school.
It is a community that is challenging and intellectually exciting. Our combination of outstanding teaching, enrichment opportunities and the elective programme will inspire you to develop independence in your own learning and encourage you to challenge yourself.
Whatever your aspirations, we hope that you find your experiences in the sixth form fulfilling and enjoyable. In many ways, success at this level is about seizing the opportunities available to you and constantly striving to do better. We hope that you will endeavour to play an active part in shaping the Sixth Form into a sociable, industrious and successful community.
We firmly believe that the Sixth Form should help students prepare for the challenges of life. As such, we are committed to ensuring that our ethos fosters happy, resilient and reflective young people.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Sixth Form.
Warm regards,
Mrs Williamson-Jones
