Sixth Form Careers & Higher Education Support & Guidance
The aim of our Higher Education programme is that each student secures a place on a course that is right for her at the place which is right for her. This involves a lot of thinking and research on the part of the student, as well as many conversations with those who know her well.
How we support students
We prepare students for Higher Education through a mixture of sessions for the whole year group and one-to-one work with each student.
We believe all of our students are capable of achieving the very best and we therefore tailor our support to ensure the highest Levels of success.

How we support parents
We also believe that parents are essential in this process and we run a number of in school evening events to help parents understand how they can best support their daughters. We also run a virtual webinar series of events for parents. To help guide parents through this transition stage we have also purchased a number of 'The Parents' Guide to' which you may find helpful; Degree Apprenticeships, Post 18 Options, Results Day, University & University Applications.
Extra support
We invite students in receipt of ‘pupil premium’ and those identified as needing extra support to additional consultations with both our independent professional careers advisor and a member of the Sixth Form team. These sessions include further information, advice and guidance on careers and further/higher education.
